Alice Gainer
Alice Gainer (born July 3 1982) was an American anchor, reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV, New York. Prior to joining WCBS Gainer worked at WNYW Fox 5, New York and for eight years before that, worked as an anchor/reporter on News 12 New Jersey. The anchor has also been on News 12 Westchester, CNN, Fox News Channel and Fox Business Happy Hour.Gainer completed her studies at Fordham University in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in Communication Television and Radio, and an additional minor in Business Administration. She anchors WFUV at Fordham which is the radio station affiliated with NPR. station for the University. In Fordham she was awarded an award called the Gracie Award for "Individual Excellence as the best radio anchor". Also, she was an anchor on the campus TV station. Gainer began her career in radio after graduating, working for WBGO, NPR's WBGO, MetroNetworks WOR and WABC. Also, she was employed at Air America Satellite Radio and MetroNetworks WOR. Gainer has won 8 NY Emmy Awards, including for "Breaking/Spot News", Crime News", and Entertainment News. Over 12 times, she's been nominated in areas like "LIVE reporter", "Spot News", Entertainment News, "Crime News" as well as "Health/Science". In the first two years being a reporter on TV, she was 25.
