The 1990s saw Hines was a regular on a range of TV shows including "Swamp Thing,"" Unsolved Mysteries," The Wayans Bros.,"and "Suddenly Susan." Her first big break came towards the end of the decade, when she was Larry David's wife, Cheryl David on HBO's comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The show was a success and she earned the roles she played during the time period between 2003 and 2006.
